Walden University Doctoral Information
Walden University has been granting distance learning degrees since 1972. Today Walden offers more accredited online doctoral programs than just about any university. The privately owned school is headquartered in Minneapolis, and its programs are regionally accredited by the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools.
All of Walden University’s degree programs are online-only. Their doctoral-level options fall into the following categories:
- Business administration and management – 19 concentrations including entrepreneurship, finance, marketing, and self-designed DBA programs
- Counselor education and supervision – 6 concentrations including nonprofit management, forensic mental health, and counseling & social change
- Education – 9 concentrations ranging from early child education to adult education, special education, and self-designed doctoral programs
- Health services and public health – Concentrations in general studies, epidemiology, health management, and community health promotion
- Human services – 7 concentrations ranging from criminal justice to family studies
- Psychology – 6 concentrations including clinical, counseling, and organizational psychology
- Public policy and administration – 12 tracks ranging from criminal justice and homeland security to non-profit management and health services
